My silver lab who is now 6 years old is a “scardy cat” when it comes to thunder or fireworks! It’s a good thing he is my service dog and not a hunter. His color is gorgeous. Fortunately no one has ever been rude to me about his color. He is a lover, loves to nibble and give kisses. He is very protective of our family. He will make people think he will eat them if they come in alone, unexpected or in the dark. Love my Asher! I grew up with all labs, American, English, black, white and chocolate. Until Asher black was my favorite. It will be difficult to decide if I ever choootp get another lab.

My silver lab does not shed, she has a single coat and is very soft. Unlike our yellow lab.

I have a silver and Love her. I had 2 black labs prior and they were my whole world. I have had the negative comments about her being a wienrimmer, but I don’t care. She is my best friend and i love her no matter color she is. People need to get over themselves. This is exactly what is wrong with our country.( Not just the debate over dogs)

I’ve had yellow, black and now a silver. He is more of a milk chocolate. He was born in a litter of 13 pups. The litter had 2 silver and the rest were black, yellow, and chocolate. Probably the most affectionate of all my labs but oddly does not like swimming. His parents and siblings are crazy dock dogs. Other than swimming his as much lab as any dog of ever owned.

We have 6 mos old Willow who is an absolute joyful addition to our retired home. She’s smart, sassy, and energetic. Keeps me moving and everywhere we go people love her. We’ve had no negative experiences with her “silver” Labrador breed, but couldn’t care less if someone objected to her being AKC registered chocolate. We found Willow at a reputable breeder in San Diego Ca, and agreed not to breed her. Which was never our intention in the first place. If you love the lab breed and this color, I highly recommend a Silver addition!

We just adopted an older female silver lab. We are not sure of her age , somewhere between 6-9 years old. She is one of the sweetest dogs! She loves everybody and gets along with other dogs but prefers people. She’s also very calm, nothing seems to bother her. She loves to be with us, she loves car rides and going new places. She’s great with everyone! We are so lucky to have her. People may look down on the breed but for us she is the best!

I Have a silver Lab and we called him Dave, we found him on local website close to where we live and fell in love with him straight away by the photo. His currently 4 months old, his very wise boy and quick leaner i.e toilet training giving paw sitting when needs to, on walks his at your side even off the lead he doesn’t go far from your side. He gets people attention and peoples comments are when out and about his beautiful not seen one before beautiful blue eyes what huge paws his going to be big dog, which always makes us laugh.
He just learnt that he has a voice so can be vocal try to make his point over to us Dave is like a stroppy teenager try to get their way at the moment trying to demand lol but we stand our ground make our point.

I have a charcoal lab retriever,and like humans colour doesn’t matter as long as they are nice,and labs are fantastic breed of dogs.

I have a silver reg as a chocolate Max is over 100 lbs and a perfect lab he`s 9 years old now but he`s just like any other lab I have had over the years. Whenever we go out he gets a lot of attention everyone asks about his color and I haven`t had any bad reactions about his color ,and like most labs he`s an attention whore ,he loves people and getting attention.
