I rescued a springador, not knowing that was what he was called, and have had a wonderful experience so far. He is now 3 and has great recall, 90% of the time, loves the twice daily walks with 3 other adults and up to 5 other dogs, loves riding, going hunting, and cuddling. He is very energetic but calms on command, loves playing with his toys, playing tug of war, and resting in his bed. At first, I wondered about getting him as we are a senior couple but it has been amazing. He loves children and when our very young granddaughter visited, was quite watchful over her. Here’s to a continued positive relationship.

There's often a long wait for a rescue puppy, so if that's the route you'd like to go down again, you may find it helpful to be open to other colors. But regardless of color, I do hope you are able to find a new companion to help heal your heart.

We just had to put our 16 year old Springador down. He was the most gentle dog I’ve ever encountered. I’m heartbroken over it. His spirit was pure love. I miss him so much. I’m wondering how to get a brown puppy as I adopted ours as a stray at the humane society.

We have a 2 yr old male springador Arnie. He is all black. Extremely handsome. Boundless energy and very affectionate. Reasonably well mannered with basic commands. He is an excellent guard dog alerting to anything out of the ordinary. We are embarking on embracing his alertness with protection training for our young daughter

We have a springador puppy 6 months now ,and she is just as you have described , she is so loyal obedient after a lot of training, and such a wonderful family pet, we have a 6 month old granddaughter and she is so go with her , they will grow up together ,
