I am wondering how they make a WHITE lab for I have one. He is white as snow. He is called a Polar White Lab and his nose and stuff are black. I would post you a picture but nowhere to do so.

Amazing bird dog for hunting and the most lovable house dog ever!!! We will definitely have another Fox Red!

Only traits that require two recessive genes can give themselves away by looking at the dog. So brown dogs are always bb and yellow dogs ee And that only tells you one part of the genotype. Knowing the parents genotype can help. But with most pet dogs you simply won’t know, as it might take several litters to identify the genotype for sure. 🙂

It depends on the genotype of your black dog. The silver dog is bb dd. So they will give the dilute gene, and a chocolate gene to all the puppies. But unless the black dog carries the dilute gene (from a silver or charcoal parent) none of the puppies will be dilute. So if your black girl is BB DD (does not carry chocolate) all the puppies will be black. And if the black girl is Bb DD you might get 50% chocolate and 50% black. Unless both dogs carry the yellow gene in which case 25% of pups could be yellow!
