Thank you for suggesting that getting your dog checked out by your vet as soon as possible after getting home will bring you peace of mind. I’ll have to keep this in mind when I find the right dog for our family. My husband loves hunting and is wanting to get a hunting dog. I’ll have to do some research and see if we can find the perfect puppy.

It is important to remember that looking for someone that is organized and offers the type of pet you want can help you get the company you need. I think 6 weeks is quite young to get a pup ..(mine was 8 weeks and I think that’s what is recommended) but agree with the previous poster. The breeder should have given you a pack of the food your pup was having and/or details about feeding. You can change the food obviously – but better to do it gradually.

In reply to Hemant. Did you change the type of food your feeding your pup? Sometimes the simple solution is to go back to what he or she was being fed by the breeder. You can also get a powder to add to their food to help change over to the new food safely. Talk to a reputable Pet Store Owner. This is just one possibility. Good Luck!

My 6 weeks old labrador puppy has arrived only 3 days back. it is having loose motion. Despite being put on medicine he is having loose, watery stool. he is being given anti-diarrohea medicine twice alongwith digestive enzyme and electrolyte. what other precaution could i take? he is my first pet. so please enlighten.
