Wow. Why wouldn’t you keep your dog inside with you?
Ours sleeps on our bed at night.

When you asked, “At what age should I tie my lab puppy?” Please tell me exactly, what are you asking? What does “TIE” does this term mean to you? I ask because the term “TIE” can be interpreted in different ways.

Thank You for any response or responses you have received.

I have the exact same problems with my Chocolate lab. She just gets things and comes and looks at me to come and get it from her. Did you get an answer on your question? Or has your situation gotten any better? Thanks Vickie

As far as I know he’s never been trained. Even the basic calling doesn’t work. He does come and looks for affection from my cousin and myself. How do I go about the basics?

I have been training my 17 mos. old chocolate labrador from the beginning of our life together. she is really good at basic commands, Crate training(sometimes). I have this issue when we don’t’ pay attention to her. She grabs anything(which we are so careful nothing dangerous to her reach ). But pillow, blankets, kitchen towels. She starts her chase and running game. It gets to the point that I don’t chase her to calm her down. I command her. GO CRATE. But she only goes until I yelled at her. BUT, I don’t want her to be scare of me. ( which I hate the yelling at her). What can I try to resolve this issue?.

2. When we get into our phones to talk to someone that calls. She starts Barking a lot. ( I know this is seeking for attention ). The same thing when my husband and I carry a conversation. Otherwise, she is a great dog. Please send me links or articles to solve my issues w/ positive reinforcement. Desperate!!! thank you

Dogs are naturally pack animals and their INSTINCTS tell them not to be separated from their PACK. Solitary confinement is a cruel mental torture for anyone including and especially for dogs. They should preferably sleep with their own species or in the same room with humans. Make sure you remember to respect and provide the needs of the species. Animals are not just there for our enjoyment or entertainment.

HI,
I also have a 12 month old labrador. He is really naughty too. But, my dad useally trains him and the only thing he uses to tame him out is to say NO a lot of times……You should try that. it will stop your pups barking at night problem.
