My 6mth old Labrador (girl) suffers from diarrhoea only when we go out at home she is fine,I give her James wellbeloved lamb & rice,We cannot go far on walks as it’s very difficult to clear up.apart from that she is a good weight and very healthy,I think it’s the icy weather, the rear of my house the poo is ok,soon as we go out the front door and the cold hits her that’s when it all starts.
HELP.

Our beloved Chocolate lab ( about 4 yrs at the time) had allergies and licked his feet raw. We found a canine dermatologist who tested him for allergies. His side with the testing ‘blew up’. We put him on allergy shots weekly (I gave him the shots) and after about 2 years we took him off the shots. He basically outgrew his problem. His ears were another issue….we basically had a routine of checking his ears weekly to see if they started to get red. If they were we instantly cleaned his ears and gave him ear drops. This kept him in check. Loved him very much….rest his soul.

It’s a constant battle trying to keep her ears clean and treated. Her paws are raw, and she licks them daily. I have kept her on a fish-based dog food without grain and such. The vet prescribed an antifungal medication for the ears and hydroxysine to minimize the allergies. But, I have had little success helping my female lab. Does anyone have any suggestions?

She is 13 yrs old and has started to struggle going up and downstairs, coughs, and can’t see as well as she used to.
My vet is suggesting surgery and removing a large part of her leg tissue up to her bottom.
I am terrified for her and it is very expensive. But I want her with us as long as she can.

We have a x10 week old black lab puppy who has a twitch in his left paw at times. Is this something that needs to e checked? He doesn’t seem bothered by it in the slightest but I am worried.

Thanks.
Ann

This evening suddenly he could not walk , could not lie down and looked in pain . The vet thinks he has immune mediated polyarthrits , but no tests have been done until tomorrow . We are shocked and sad , he was so healthy and suddenly ill .
What is the prognosis and could he live a good life if managed .
Is this a rare disease for young dogs ?

Thank you Barbara

they make doggy wheel chairs but they have unconditional love. even if their whole body was to give up they would wag a tail because they love us so. only you know your dog to know when hes had enough. and unfortunately you have to make the decision for Him not you. i am struggling this this same thing right now. my girl has cancer and some days are good and some bad. its so hard and heart wrenching. sending thoughts and prayers
