So glad I found this! I rescued 1 of 2 pups found abandonedat a boat ramp about 7 months ago. I would have bet a little they were 100% labs! I've had akc labs the past 30 years.... They both look and act exactly like my others! Smart as a whip! Kinda even smarter... the one that lives with me is almost scary the way he acts! It's like he is reading my every thought! Lol. Sent a dna test just to satisfy curiosity and it came back 53.1% Golden and 36.9 Labrador. I felt ripped off til I read this and saw pics! Now... yeah, it's obvious!!!! My ex had a Golden and I can see some of the traits in my pup now. Hair is no more long or thick than a long haired lab, but he does have a rather thick tail! The weird thing is he weighs almost 70lbs at 10 months and his brother only weighs 40! They're both healthy and not over/under weight! He is just a big dog! His feet are like human hands! I have had two goldadors. Both have been amazing. I would love to find another one. If you know of a good breeder I would love to hear from you.
I am in no hurry, as of now I have a boxer and a mcnab sheppard who demands much attention. But I would love to have a name for the future. I am thinking in a year I will be ready for third dog.

Dexter just turned 6 months old and is already 75lbs. His mom is 100% yellow lab and his dad is 100% golden retriever. He’s not overweight, he’s just very large for his age (his height is already 25”). He loves everyone he meets, humans and canines alike. When it comes to training, he’s eager to please and will do anything for a treat/food.

I also got my girl as a rescue. We all thought she was a black lab, but DNA says she was a Goldador. She has no health problems and fetches exactly like your dog! It was fun to read about such a similar trait. Our girl 10 1/2 and super sweet.

I have just brought a female Goldador into my family! She is 4 months old and s beautiful girl She is already connected to me and I love her lots already!! She came from Kentucky to live with me in Georgia!! Don’t think I will ever regret knowing her!!!
